I am interested in becoming a broker, so that I can offer my clients the most competitive rates. Do all companies allow brokes to offer their services? Does AAA allow brokers do do business with them?

How to go about contacting companies so that i can offer their services?

What are some requirements for offering their service?

Is anyone a broker with a website that I could look at?

I want to share with you something that I feel with help you with your closing techniques and make more sales. Just try it.

I want you to play a game that I call “the closing game”.

Come up with every reason why a client should not buy what you are selling. Life, Health, or whatever and write them down. I want you to really think hard of every reason why a client should not buy whatever you are selling.

Examples:

I can’t afford this.
She can’t manage the checkbook, how will she handle the lump sum when I die.

It would be stupid for a farmer to eat his seeds as food. Even if the farmer is hungry or starving he should not eat his seed.

I see some agents eating their seeds and having nothing to plant or harvest later. Every time you make some money selling insurance, put some of it away as seeds. You need seeds that you can plant later, to harvest another crop. You should always be planting your seeds.

It takes money to make money in this business. If you have no money to invest in this business, you will not survive for long.

I just wanted to give you some food for thought.

Let’s talk about an avg sale. The client wants to protect their love ones if/when something happens to them. Most clients only think about covering the cost of a funeral and paying off the house. Some of them even think about the kids going to college, but that is all.

But a lot of clients are not protecting their family members enough. They are not thinking about income.

I look at final expense like being on the Titanic after it has hit the iceberg. We all know that we are going to have to get off the ship (or die one day), but some of us want to wait to the last min to jump off or get on the life boat (buy life insurance).

With final expense, they ship is just moments from going under and the panic has really set in. The older you get the more you think about the ship sinking and that you need to come up with a plan to protect your family and pay for your funeral.

I think that it is important to have more then just one insurance company that you work for. Try and have your eggs in more then one basket. With all of the insurance companies that are going under, or being bought or sold, it is important to have a backup company also.

I see some agents only having one company and all of their eggs in one basket.

Hello. I recently graduated with a BA, however, due to the recent economy I have not been able to find a job. I found some insurance agent job postings online and have a few interviews lined up. They train their employees online to get their license and also pay a base salary their first year.

I may sound stupid...but, do agents receive any type of health benefits?

I have an opprotunity to become an independant agent under Farmers. I see that Allstate hs better advertising and seems to be more competitive? Does anyone have luck in either?
