i am new independent agent going to work for this new broker company consisting of 3 to 4 people.this compnay is in exsistance for last 1.5 years only.I do have offers to join different insurance companies but working as independent broker seems much better idea from comission point of view.I have great experience in sales but in insurance industry yet but beleive that i wll be fine.......

I've always had great interest in insurance field and I finally decided to take a step into this field after weeks of consideration.

I did some researches on Google and read lots of posts in insurance agent forums, and gained so much valuable informations. Thanks to you all. However, before I finally make a decision, I need one last question answered that couldn't find anywhere.

So I have recently heard of the bad news for everyone involved in Shenandoah life insurance company. So for the agents, my question is what is next?

I am just getting started in the insurance industry and was wondering if I am going to be independent should I use a GA general agent.Do they help you if you are new and are they worth it or is it like being captive.
What are some good ones to talk to.
