Hello,
I have found this to be a very useful forum. Thanks in advance for all the information. I am looking to change careers and property claims adjusting looks like a good fit. I have found some online training websites. Where is a good guide for a step by step process to get in the business? Thanks, Dan

Ok, I guess I do not know what I'm doing. I have no idea how this ended up in Auto Insurance. I'm interested in Property Claims. If anyone knows how move this to the right forum, please let me know.

Indexed Annuities

I received in the mail the other day information on Indexed Annuities. I was wondering if anyone heard that they were changing the rules on agents selling this type of Annuity. As it stands now, any agent without a securities license can sell it but the SEC wants to change that. They want anything connected to a variable product sold only by Licensed agents. I am assuming that this would affect anyone specializing in this product, especially if they are not licensed. Are there any comments about this?

www.healthleadsnow.com Exclusive Leads?

I am an agent in TX, and have run my health insurance business soley on shared internet leads. TX is a very competitive state, and agents are all flocking to these lead sources. Even when I buy, so called, exclusive leads, I am still the 3rd or 4th agent to call.

I did some googling and came across a company by the name or Health Leads Now. They call on business's and when someone is interested in insurance they are automatically transfer them to you.

Not only that but the leads are exclusive and the leads are only $4 each.

How do you followup on quotes??

Hello All:

I was just wondering how you followup on quotes. For instance, you give an auto quote, how do you followup...Do you call them back every day? Do you email them? How often do you followup and for what time period?

In our office we don't really followup after giving a quote...we just basically tell them to call us if they'd like to do the policy. Our conversion ratio is pretty low as well and I'm trying to change that. Just wondering if we're losing a lot of business by not calling them every day.

Your input is very appreciated.
