How do you followup on quotes??

Hello All:

I was just wondering how you followup on quotes. For instance, you give an auto quote, how do you followup...Do you call them back every day? Do you email them? How often do you followup and for what time period?

In our office we don't really followup after giving a quote...we just basically tell them to call us if they'd like to do the policy. Our conversion ratio is pretty low as well and I'm trying to change that. Just wondering if we're losing a lot of business by not calling them every day.

Your input is very appreciated.

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum and have been reading through posts and getting some good ideas.

What I wanted to ask everybody is what kind of followup system do you currently have in place for leads. For instance, you give an auto quote...How do you leave it off with the person?

I looking at becoming an insurance adjuster. I've been in residential design, surveying, scouting, and construction for 19 years. It seems there would be a need for adjusters at the hard hit areas of the USA and i was wondering if this is a good field to be in. How much money can an adjuster make? How difficult is it to become one? - thanks!!!

Working from Home

I'm just curious to know how many of us work from home vs at an office? When I went independent I decided to work from home and was very nervous about it. But I like it. I have clients here from time to time but mostly I go to their homes or business.

I had one nightmare client who showed up at my place all the time - without any appointment or anything and at all hours of the day and night. At my first opportunity I parted ways with that client.

There are situations prospects walk away the moment an agent introduces himself as an insurance agent.

If you choose not to mention insurance agent, what other ways you introduce yourself?

I just joined today and haven't found the "search" function yet so if this has been discussed, ...never mind.

I'm thinking this site could provide some good networking opportunities. Has there been a post that shows where each member is located?

If someone comes to me with a need for a product I don't have (even if they are in a different state...or their family member, friend) - I could easily refer them to someone on the board.
