I am new to the insurance business, but not new to sales. I have owned/operated my own business for about 12 years. I am interviewing with Northwestern Mutual on Monday. I am wondering if anyone knows what kind of a company this is to work for, or how they are viewed by agents?

I've recently started the exciting job of insurance agent. I work for Farmers Insurance in Bellingham, WA(all the way up by the canadian border). I was wondering if anyone had any advertising tips for someone starting out and also had good advice on getting leads as well. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated.

he is a litte frustrated, he works for a broker here in FL and is not getting any leads and has pretty much used up all his own leads and feels like he is out of options.... this is his 5th week and has only written like one group plan and one individual plan. and thinks hes going to get the boot because hes not producing enough ... any suggestions
