CT agents opinions sought on the Charter Oak Health Plan

The state of Connecticut has come out with a health insurance plan designed to reduce the number of uninsured people.

It has some pluses and minuses.

The program is affordable and has decent coverage unless you have a serious illness. This is because the annual caps and the lifetime caps are limited. The private health insurance companies I work with have better caps.

It accepts people who have pre-existing conditions.

One of my interests is programming and I have created a couple of tools for agents who have websites.

With both of these tools, if you link to them from your website, your visitors will see a link that returns them to your website on the result page.

Use a Different Strategy Every Time

If you have successfully made your last prospect into your customer, well done. Whenever you will be meeting your next prospect, do not be over confident. And the most important thing is never apply the same strategy to two customers. No two people in this world are same, so you can not tackle two different prospects in the same way. When I say strategy, I mean that how you approach your prospect and how you build up your conversation in the lights of your strong points.
So remember using different strategy every time for better conversion rate.

Keep Patience

Patience is the most important virtue of an insurance agent. When you are going to meet your first prospect, never think that you can make him your first customer. I do not want to discourage you but just wanted to tell the truth. In the insurance agent field, no agent have a conversion rate of 100% in his early years. This is the field of constant learning and your's and your seniors' past experience matters a lot.

Enhance your communication skills

Good communication skills are very important if you want to become successful as an insurance agent. You should never hesitate to initiate a new discussion with your prospect. Always speak confidently without paying heed to any interruptions and disturbances going around so that the prospect could trust you and believe that you are sure and confident about you and your firm. Avoid the discussion in presence of any third person. There should be only two persons on the spot-you and your prospect.
