Any idea whether it is important to insure a horse if you possess one? If so how much would it cost to insure a horse? Do I need to have liability coverage (as in auto insurance) if I wanna let others ride in?

Can I sue the banks insurance company?

In August of 2007, I was injured a bank from a faulty door. When I opened their door to go in, the door swung open really fast and I stopped it from hitting my daughter. I was wearing sandals and the bottom corner of the door went into my toe and pushed the bone into the cartilage. I have had problems with it since and my foot doctor told me I have permanent damage and will always have troubles with it. The banks insurance company paid my doctor bills, but can I sue them for pain and suffering? I can't even go for long walks. It's hard to work when I'm standing cuz of the pain

How do insurance algorithms work?

As part of a court case in Texas (quoting from the newsroom section of Allstate's website) "Allstate will make its new insurance scoring algorithm publicly available." Does anyone know anything about this?

I'm not sure I could understand it even if I saw it (they're quite complicated, aren't they?), but I feel like myself and others in the forum could glean some pretty interesting information.

Flood insurance with Allstate

Hello everyone. I need your help this time.

One of my rental houses, sits in what someone deemed a flood zone. I have owned the house for 17 years and have never seen water anywhere close to the house. The house is old (built in the early 40s) sits on a corner lot and is slightly higher than all the houses around it (all built afterwards). If water were to get to my front door, the porches across the street would be under 2 feet of water.

How much and what are the requirements
