I was in an accident,still being investigated.I may be charged with vehicular assault.Can my mortgaged home be taken away if I am sued by the other person involved?Don't know if the insurance covered all the medical bills for the other person who was injured.

Hi, I’ve been in Mexico for the last 2 years. My car is still registered in the US but the insurance has lapsed. I’m returning in few weeks to stay in Illinois for about 3 months. My previous insurance provider has informed me that they would only issue a six months’ policy at a higher rate, which I don’t need. Any suggestions for a probable solution? I just need a basic auto insurance for 3 months. I’ve had a fair driving record with 0 accidents or speeding records. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

I am a newlywed of 3 years with a clean driving record since 16 with no accidents. Been with state farm for 25 years. To save money, I put my husband on my policy. Since then, he has been in 3 accidents in less than 2 years (2 total losses). So far, our insurance has gone up a little cause we lost our 'accident free' discount'. I am afraid that when they review our policy this August that they will either drop the whole policy (me and him) or they will put us in the "pool" of high risk.

Where do i begin? Classes etc.

Long story short ; got rear ended 2 weeks ago while I was at a stoplight waiting for light to change , my car was totaled by at fault driver's insurance . X-rays were taken and according to my chiropractor I have a soft tissue injury . I've been seeing my chiro everyday , missed 10 days of work at her recommendation . Headaches still after 12 days but decreasing in intensity . Adjuster met with me after the incident and gave me the claim number to bill everything under their name. I know it might be a little premature to talk about a settlement but what $$ should I be aiming for ?

Does anyone know of a company that offers a discount on your auto insurance if you get a friend to buy a policy? DISH TV and ATT are advertising similar promotions, so I was wondering why this wouldn't work for auto insurance. You wouldn't have to go through an agent.

How can the insurer charge me for being at-fault, when I was not placed on fault at- site? how can the at-fault status vary for the police and the insurer for the same accident?

There is no structural damage, just cosmetic to bumper, grill, radiator headlights. I had it towed to local body shop and turned it into insurance next day. They referred it to independent appraiser and after 4 days, he called it totaled at 4500 worth in estimated repairs. He did not take into account a 2500 transmission under warranty installed less than 3 mo. ago. Insurance company sent to 3rd party (JD powers) for valuation and comps on vehicle.

I was recently rear ended in a 2012 dodge ram. It held up remarkably well, however it is now in the shop, repairs are already at 11000, and they just found that the frame has diamond bends. I dont care to get a new vehicle, however, can frame repair be guaranteed as far as structual safety? Can that same frame withstand another 60 mph rear end impact and my daughter be safe in the back seat? If now, can I get theinsurance company to replace the frame or total the truck? I am extremely uncomfortable with the notion of the base of the truck being compromised. Any advice please.
