question regarding my accident

I was in an accident where the other person said they were injured (neck, back, can't smell any more with nose). I was given ticket for red light because the officers said a retired sanitation worker was there and saw me go through light. Now we are being sued and they want $500,000. My insurance co. said that was absurd and offered them $50,000. Also they said I tried to leave scene which did not happen and I separately got that reduced and gone to court separately. If this goes to trial can I be possibly getting a penalty other than what the ins. co. will pay?

In Missouri, what are the owner's rights, if any on retainin

My daughter just rolled her 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Insurance company wants to have it towed to "properly evaluate" whether or not the vehicle should be "totaled." At first, I agreed because they said that was the quickest and most effective way to get the pay out process going and settled. But, now I am learning that they want to tow the vehicle halfway across the state. We, as owners are interested in keeping the vehicle, not to repair or drive, but to salvage parts in order to soften the blow of the financial loss we are going to take.

valet crashed car - who'll cover?

I stayed over at a hotel in Texas (shouldn't name in open forum, I think). Visited there for business purposes. My husband was driving my car, which is okay since he's listed and all. We parked the car ourselves, though the front desk clerk insisted on valet parking. However, while we were checking out and the valet brings out our car, I notice it has a huge dent in the front. Should that not be paid by the hotel or the valet or covered by their parking liability whatever. Or will I have to claim from my insurance and suffer the consequences?

lien holder liability

I am investing $50K in a vehicle (a mercedes sprinter van) in a fully established transportation company in SC. Fully insured, have seen the books, and financials. Essentially I am the bank and this allows him to show no debt to be able to purchase more vehicles. He will guarantee me $1300 a month for 5 years and at the end of 5 years I won half the vehicle and he will either buy me out or sell it. My name will be listed as the lien holder on the title. Legally, am I putting myself at any risk if say the driver gauwd forbid killed someone and was at fault.

How much should I request for pain and suffering

I have an auto accident claim in the works and I just need to know what I should ask for in terms of pain and suffering. I had a soft tissue injury that I was treated for for about 8 and a half months, my medical bills totaled 6600, I fell behind in my classes ( I am a college student) I had headaches that prevented me from getting adequate rest, the gentleman who hit me was looking at his cell phone at the time of the accident (negligent?), I also had an opportunity to work extra hours at work but couldn't due to injury.

so a few months ago, i got pulled over by a police officer for doing a stop and run thru a stop sign, He informed me when he pulled me over that i had an insurance lapse and that he was goin to tow my car and send tags back to DMV. So i called my agent first thing on the next business day and i explained to her what happened and she said she would get back to me. Time went on and the more aggitated i got so i called the home office instead my agent.. Seemed to get alot of run around from my agent and she was not telling me what i wanted to hear.

Dad is an occasional driver due to old age. I have started using the car for personal use. I have got my own vehicle as well. In case of damage, will his insurer deny coverage?
