My car had damages in the rear due to collision. I got the estimates for the repairs and sent them to the insurer. The claim is under process. Can I take the check and do the repair from another shop or later on?
My grandma was in a parking lot and was getting out of the back of the car slowly with the door open a little bit, then the wind opened the door more just as a person was pulling in and her door hit their mirror. was it my grandmothers fault or the other drivers fault?
My 8yr old daughter and myself were hit head on by a drunk driver. My car had around 6000.00 in damages. We were both transported to the hospital by ambulance and I have 2500.00 in medical bills from a blod clot in wrist from accident. My daughter has 4500.00 medical bills from facial contusions and cuts and soft tissue strain in back. I have about 1000.00 in expenses from mileage and time off from work for doctor appointments. This all happened over Thanksgiving holidays and I was unable to cook and do several family traditions during that time.
My husband had a car accident last july, he didnt have insurance at the time, we were contact by a lawyer, after that, my husband had shoulder surgery can work very well, he works on construction, self-employed, the medical bills are as right now around 60.000,00, today the lawyer told us that will take probably 0ne year to settle this, and we probaly walking with only 4.000,00 em our pockets, after all this, the pain, and still no having a totally funcional shoulder and arm, what can we do??
Recently had an accident, not my fault, in my 2008 accord. Estimate is 7700. Insurance says car is worth 13000 and wont total it. I was getting ready to list it for sale at 8500. How are our values so different? I used Edmund's and Kbb along with comps to get my number. No way is the car worth 13000, has 120000 miles and would be considered in fair to good condition. Can I get ins company to reevaluate its worth?
Does the Ins Co have an obligation to notify lienholder/loss payee before ins cancels? If they don't and car is wrecked, what is their responsibility then and the lienholder's rights? We are in Delaware.
