My car died and I cancelled my insurance but I didn't hand in my plates for 20 days .I the paper they give you at dmv that your plates are destroyed it said suspend intill 8 /20 /2015.I'm getting a new car from a dealer will there be a big problem .confused

A tihrd party caused an auto accident wtih damage to my car. Their insurance accepted full responsibilty. for the sake of time, I settled on my insurance and my insurance company is in subrigation with the other parties insurance company. My insurance company has already returned my deuctable to me. There are problems with the subrigation. Can my insurance company demand that I pay my deuctable back to them?
