I am a North Carolina resident. I need some advice if anyone can offer. My daughter was driving through the school parking lot and another driver backed out and struck her car. The primary point of impact is the Passenger side front and back door. The damage is $3600. The police report says that the driver of the parked car backed into my daughter's car. No driver was cited since there were no injuries. Seems cut and dry. So I file a claim with the other driver's insurance company. I get a quote. They take a statement from both sides.

Auto Insurance company found me guilty of an accident because the VA State Trooper lied on the police report and stated he had and eye witness that stated I ran a red light but that was a lie. He did not have and eye witness. Because of the lies on the report my insurance company found me guilty and paid the other persons claims before I ever went to court. When I did go to court the Lawyer was able to prove the officer had made huge mistakes and was able to get the Trooper to come to court and admit his mistakes.

I am completing a total loss claim for my house. I was just issued a check payable to me alone ( not mortgage company as other payments were) for recoverable depreciation. My question is who is entitled to this payment? I don't believe my contractor went over ACV to complete repairs. It seems as though all he was required to submit for this check to be disbursed was the city inspection form.

Can my insurance company force someone else's car to be totaled? Isn't that like stealing it from them?

I own a 2000 ford contour SVT this is a limited production car no. 387 out of 2150. It was rear ended and this action pushed it into the car in front of me.The rear bumper and front bumper are trashed. I took the car for an estimate and the person insurance co. that hit me did the repair estimate. They made up so much damage to the car that it was "totaled" including the exhaust system was damaged and needed replacing.

my car was deemed totaled by my insurance and I haven't yet started the negotiations. I plan on keeping my car and having it fixed since the damage was all cosmetic and I recently put a lot of work into it. I replace the original engine which had 270,000 miles with a Japanese motor that has only 40-60,000 miles, and also many more repairs that totaled to around $3800.

Will my insurance cover my totaled vehicle?
The driver of my car was at fault, has suspended license, did not have my permission to drive. I am the only insured driver.
We are in Texas.

i was waiting at a red light the car behind me tried changing lanes and hit me tipped the car over. his insurance company totaled the car. it is a 2005 suzuki but 2 years ago i have new motor, radiator, tune up new wires, reservoir, new tires, new gasket (if that is what it is called) I went get it back and had it repaired, but for them to reimburse me they want the title. why do I have to send them title of the car
