Car crash both driver's have the same insurance company

Again question about my brain damaged nephew. To reiterate: He was in head on collision caused by a driver who pulled out from a side street hit him on the passenger side and pushed into the oncoming traffic. The driver of the other car was cited as her fault. Both driver's have same insurance company. Is that a plus or minus. Logic told me that no fighting between 2 companies is good. But a doubt came to mind as there is not another company to fight for my nephew.

Driver ran stopsign and I did not have a stop. My dominant arm was broken in 2 spots which required surgery with a plate and 10 screws. I am a nurse so I was not able to work 6 months and my arm still hurts constantly. My MD said it may be a year or longer to get use back. His insurance took full blame and he only had 15,000$ coverage and I had under insured of 15,000$,My surgery was 41,000$ and my take home loss wages was 35,000$, My lawyer says he has nothing to sue for and that I am just out of luck because we can not sue..

My car was totaled in an accident. I only have liability insurance. Person at fault has no insurance. And there is a Lienholder on their title. Since they have no insurance, Will their lienholder pay for damages made to my car?

Liberty Mutual (the insurance company

Liberty Mutual (the insurance company of the other, at fault driver) has declared my 2008 Prius 50K miles a total loss.
They've given me comps in the 82-160K miles and are using a mileage adjustment of 2.5 cents per mile.

How is this mileage adjustment determined? It seems ridiculously low.

Thanks!

How can I force a self-insured corp to pay me directly?

Can a self-insured company (Delta Sonic) refuse to pay liability damages to the vehicle owner directly even after they have accepted responsibility for the damage? Delta Sonic is insisting on paying the collison shop directly for damages to my vehicle and I thought that I had the option of repairing my vehicle or not as I saw fit. I provided two estimates per their request. What is the law or guiding principle in this case? I live in New York State. What are my options to force them to pay me directly?

Can self-Insured Company refuse to pay a driver directly?

My vehicle was moderately damaged by Delta Sonic during a car wash. They accepted responsibility for the accident, since it was all on video, and damages and agreed to pay once I got two estimates. I got two estimates, both around the same amount, and presented them to Delta Sonic for payment. Delta Sonic then informed me that since they are self-insured, they would not pay me directly for the damages to my vehiclae and that they would only cut a check to a collision after the repairs were complete. I plan on selling this vehicle soon and I do not want to pay for a new paint job.

U.P.S. has a recent warehouse fire, they informed the company that sold me the items, the package was burned in the fire. The company that sold me the goods informed me that they do not want to make waves with UPS and are only asking for the cash value of the items. Should I ask my insurance company to contact UPS and ask for the difference between the cash value and replacement value. any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated best wishes

Uninsured accident - how to navigate subrogation?

I have lived overseas for the last 10 yrs but decided to visit family. While I was in Washington, DC driving a rental car with no insurance (except for the rental car) from Virginia, I was waived through gridlock traffic by a seemingly helpful driver, but was blindsided by an oncoming car (from Maryland) as soon as I entered traffic. It was deemed my fault by the police and I received a traffic citation. The driver that hit me had his car totaled and was sent to the emergency room only to find that he had no injuries other than a sprained hand.
