If water infiltrates a ground floor unit from the roof, and causes damage to a floor, which is not covered by the unit owners HO6 policy, who pays for the floor repairs?
In this situation, the Home Owners agent visited the unit, acknowledge there was water damage to a wood floor and determined it was not caused by a Peril Insured Against, and based on that denied the claim. The adjusted did state that the damage falls under the condominium master policy.

Can an insurance company still keep charging me a monthly payment after they declare the car totaled and towed it away to their salvage company? I sent them the title and a power of attorney form, and the dealer where I bought my new car had the plates and registration cancelled with the state. Is this illegal what they are trying to do ? Instead of just transferring over the Vin number and keep the payments the same, as they assured me that they would do, they simply added my new car to the policy and are now charging me for both cars when I only own one, the new car.

If the "liability Ins" is set to protect the other person, How does it protect them if the person who caused the accident was named an "excluded driver" on the register owner's Ins.policy.

When the law in California enforces the "liability ins" law...Who enforces the law when the insured knowingly allows an "excluded driver" to drive their vehicle who caused an extent amount of damage to a vehicle of another party.

Hi all - in a car accident a little over a year ago. A couple bulging discs (deemed permanent damage), continued headaches, anxiety while driving and neck pain. After going to my PCP, MRI with a neurologist, PT, and chiro/massage care, I'm throwing in the towl. I think I have reached MMI - so does my doctor, although I will have residual issues for the rest of my life. Now it comes down to settlement time. Medical bills total over $13,000, time loss totals $4,000.

Did Amer. Family assume claim if they sent me a check?

I had a leak from a pipe under my tub, and the only way I discovered it is when I removed my floor tile. Subfloor is rotten real bad. American Family partially denied the claim, and sent me an estimate and a check for $600.03. I got one estimate for $8,000. What they sent was not enough. How do I pursue them, they have assumed claim by sending me a check.

Adjuster attempting to lower an offer that was already made

I had a motorcycle accident that totaled my motorcycle.

I was initially offered a settlement, with an official letter stating the insurance company, insured person's information, my information, a statement that I was retaining the vehicle, the offer price, and the signature of the adjuster making the offer.

Today I received an email from the adjuster stating she had miscalculated the offer price and that it is lower (~$1000 less) if I want to retain the vehicle.

daughter in accident

Our daughter was in accident in the State of Texas. Two cars was at a traffic light waiting to turn left, when she rear ended the vehicle in front of her, which caused that vehicle to hit the one in front of them. Our daughter was the only one who was injured, although the other 2 vehicles was damaged. The police report says she was charged with failure to control speed. We thought Texas is a no fault state. So why did she get charged with failure to control speed? And will this cause our insurance to go up?
