We are living in a rental property which was bought by my parents as their vacation home. They've got their property covered under the homeowners insurance. In that case, do we have to buy a renters insurance to cover our personal belongings?

I need to rent a car once or twice a year. What is the cheapest way to buy insurance for rental car driving?

Car was stolen, two weeks later car is recovered with damage. Payment is being held up due to one repair place saying it's fixable and the other says it's a total. What can I do to expedite a decision ? Insurance company is dragging its feet.

I have complete coverage on my girlfriends car, this is the only car we have used, to save money we parked my trucks. I needed my truck for work yesterday and my girlfriend added it to the insurance when she woke up but about the same time a teenage driver believed to be texting crossed the center line and totaled my truck. Since I am not liable for causing the accident will her insurance company reimburse me for my loss? Also, will they be pay me enough to recoup my exact loss? What about the expense I had to pay to tow my truck home? FYI - this is in WA state.

I was with Farmers and my insurance policy just got lapsed. Now everyone is asking for so much money. I’ve tried all the major companies. Could anyone help me with a company that would offer cheap insurance for my situation? Currently, everyone is asking for around $700-$800 for 4 cars liability. Isn't this frustrating?

I’m with Geico right now and soon going to shift to Farmers. In the past few years, I’ve filed a number of claims and therefore my payments are going up. I was wondering if Geico would share my information with Farmers if I switch.

I’ve had a clean driving record for the last 5 years - no tickets, accidents or citations. However, it was just yesterday when I was pulled for overspeeding. I was driving in 37 in a 15 mph zone. I thought the limit was 30 mph. Moreover, I was driving in Texas but my driver’s license is obtained from CA.

I just want to know how many points will be added to my driving record. If I contest the ticket, can I get it removed? What are the possibilities? Would hiring a traffic attorney help? How much would it cost?
